We have some great news to share with you today: We launched a completely new version of our ticket shop to help you organise even more successful events!

Improved Usability: The Ticket Shop has a New Design
Numerous user tests have led to a new design and a user-friendly interface, which not only simplifies both the order and payment processes, but also makes them safer. Through the simplification of the buying process, organisers are able to sell more tickets, and the conversion rate will likely increase. All ticket shops will benefit from these numerous improvements, both those on amiando event websites and those that have been embedded by iFrame or pop-up in external websites.

„We are looking forward to being able to offer our customers a more user-friendly ticket shop.  We responded to the needs of our 80,000 event organisers by developing this optimized approach and design of our new ticket shop,” said Maik Wiege, Product Owner at amiando.

What’s next in 2013
amiando is improving the purchase process for its customers in two separate steps. The new ticket shop was the first step. In a second improvement, customer emails will be modified to match the new ticket shop and optimized for mobile devices.

Richtig eingesetzt ist Google Adwords für Eventveranstalter eine überaus effektive Werbeform. So nutzen Sie Google AdWords für die Vermarktung Ihrer Veranstaltung.


Geringe Streuverluste

Mit der Schaltung von AdWords Anzeigen und den passenden Keywords können Sie potentielle Besucher Ihrer Veranstaltung gezielt und praktisch ohne teure Streuverluste bewerben. Entscheidend dabei ist die Auswahl relevanter Suchbegriffe. Z.B. „Motivationsseminar München“ oder „Ärtzekongress Berlin“.
Im Google Display Netzwerk können Sie ausserdem potentielle Teilnehmer nach Interessenskategorien und Themengebieten ansprechen.

Regionale Werbung:

Sie können den geografischen Bereich festlegen in dem Ihre Werbung erscheint. Regionale Veranstalter können so die Anzeigen auf ihren Einzugsbereich begrenzen. Achten Sie also auf eine sinnvolle regionale Aussteuerung Ihrer AdWords Kampagnen.

Erfolgskontrolle:
Durch Conversion Tracking können Sie jederzeit genau sehen wie Ihre Werbung bei Ihren Kunden ankommt. Sie können genau erkennen welche Keywords und welche Anzeigen Ihnen tatsächlich Teilnehmer gebracht haben. Gute Kampagnen sollten Sie ausbauen, schlechte Kampagnen sollten Sie überarbeiten oder beenden. Das Conversion Tracking muß separat aktiviert werden. Entweder per Google Analytics oder über den Einbau eine Tracking Codes auf der Conversionseite, z.B. „Vielen Bank für Ihre Buchung“

Volle Kostenkontrolle:
Sie behalten immer die volle Kontrolle über Ihre Kosten. Kosten fallen außerdem nur dann an, wenn ein Besucher auf die Anzeige klickt. Das blosse Erscheinen der Anzeige erzeugt keine Kosten. Durch das Festlgen von Budgets, können Sie Ihre Kosten jederzeit begrenzen. Ein Mindestbudget gibt es nicht.

Fazit:
Google AdWords kann Ihnen mit relativ geringem Aufwand zusätzliche Besucher für Ihre Veranstaltung bringen. Entscheidend ist, daß Sie konsequent auf relevante Keywords und eine passende regionale Aussteuerung Ihrer AdWords Anzeigen achten.

Which ticket prices are suitable for different event categories?
When are the most tickets sold?

We analysed data from more than 180,000 organised events and are pleased to present our new publication series, amiando Insider Knowledge, which includes helpful tips that will ensure successful event planning.


Three facts out of the report: 

Most tickets are sold in the last week before the event
An analysis of approximately 500,000 sold tickets confirmed an average price of 131 euros per ticket. Almost 50% of tickets were sold in the month leading up to the event, of which 25% were sold within the last week.


Conferences & Seminars:
Large differences in prices with few last-minute ticket sales
The largest price range appeared for conference tickets. As a result, a price benchmark for this category was difficult to determine.

The average price per ticket was 313 euros for events with 200 to 500 attendees. On average, prices for seminar tickets were lower than conference tickets. The average ticket price was approximately 157 euros with the majority of tickets costing between 20 and 100 euros. Conference and seminar attendees tended to buy their tickets early. Ticket sales that occurred shortly before the event were rare.


Concerts & Festivals:
Ticket prices between 10 and 50 euros
The majority of concert and festival tickets ranged from 10 to 50 euros. The average price for approximately 140,000 tickets sold for entertainment events was 32 euros and therefore distinctly lower than the prices for business event tickets. Unlike conferences and seminars, the majority of concert tickets were booked right before the event took place. A 35% increase in the ticket sale graph could be observed approximately one week before the event.
